Weather is warming in Anbar province. Birds are chirping (good), insects are buzzing (less good).
Mice, hungry after a cold spell, are looking to get into the metal housing units, called cans, where troops are billeted. And where the mice go, snakes are sure to follow, Marines have been warned.
That sound you hear is of Marines vigorously sweeping out food crumbs.
