Police were looking Wednesday for two gunmen after a man was shot in the head in Pasadena.
The man was hospitalized after the shooting at Chester Avenue and Villa Street on Tuesday afternoon, but his condition was not known. He was in surgery Tuesday evening, Pasadena Deputy Police Chief Darryl Qualls said.
Emergency dispatchers received a call at 2:12 p.m. Tuesday from the victim’s brother about the shooting. Police have been searching for the alleged gunmen, who were seen leaving the area in a tan vehicle, reported the Pasadena Sun.
Anyone with information is asked to call Pasadena police at (626) 744-4241. The shooting comes after two recent reports of shots fired at residential buildings, although no one was hurt in either incident. On New Year’s Day, multiple shots were fired at an apartment complex on East Mountain Street.
Less than two weeks later, officers responded to reports of gunfire about 3:30 a.m. Jan. 9 in the 100 block of Carlton Avenue. Multiple bullet strikes were found near the front door, but no one was injured.
