White iPhone 4 may go on sale in spring

Like unicorns or quality romantic comedies, the white iPhone 4 has seemed like a longstanding myth.

So brace yourselves: The light-colored version of the popular Apple smart phone may finally go on sale this spring.

The fine print on placards found in some Apple stores say that ‘the white iPhone 4 will be available spring 2011.’ Apple aficionado site 9to5Mac has photos.

Earlier this year, the company had said it would release the white phones in spring, but, after a string of delays, customers were skeptical.

Besides, if Apple is a creature of habit, it would likely announce the iPhone 5 in the summer, not long after the white iPhone 4 reaches shelves.
