Baseball: Sherman Oaks Notre Dame sweeps Canyon

Casey Ryan went six for eight to lead Sherman Oaks Notre Dame to a doubleheader sweep of Canyon Country Canyon by scores of 20-2 and 10-3. Kelly Dugan had four hits and six RBIs in the first game.

The Knights improved to 8-1 entering their Mission League debut Tuesday night against Encino Crespi in a 7 p.m. game at Birmingham. Crespi was swept in a doubleheader Saturday by Thousand Oaks.

In another game Saturday, Reseda Cleveland pounded Narbonne, 16-2, with the Cavaliers getting four home runs. Jeremy Stearn had a home run and four RBIs.
