Baseball: Bishop Amat opens 4-0 lead

If Bishop Amat isn’t the No. 1 team in Southern California, I don’t know who is. The Lancers have opened a 4-0 lead over Palm Desert ace pitcher Brooks Kriske in the fourth inning of the Division 4 final at Dodger Stadium.

Brandon Castaneda had a squeeze bunt and Adam Alcantara added an RBI double. Kriske, a junior committed to USC, has walked five.

Update: Bishop Amat increases its lead to 7-0 in the fifth. Jay Anderson had a two-run triple.
