First-year Coach Scott Pearson is working wonders at Downey Warren.
Down, 7-1, and trailing, 8-3, going into the seventh with two outs and none on, Warren rallied to tie the game and won in 11 innings, 10-8, over Downey on Friday, improving to 13-3 overall and 6-1 in the San Gabriel Valley League.
Alan Trejo went three for six with six RBIs. He had the big hit in the seventh, a bases loaded double to tie the game.
Freshman pitcher Joaquin Castillo threw the last six innings for Warren and allowed no hits and struck out seven.
