Timothy Sweeney, the boys’ basketball coach at Riverside King, is beaming.
Former King player Tony Snell was taken No. 20 in the NBA draft by the Chicago Bulls. That means two King players have been chosen in the last three years in the first round. The other was Kawhi Leonard taken No. 15 by the San Antonio Spurs in 2011.
Also going in the first round was former Fairfax standout Solomon Hill taken by the Indiana Pacers. He’ll join former Palmdale Knight standout Paul George.
