A plastic bag containing what are believed to be human skeletal remains was found by a passer-by in a remote area east of Gorman in northern Los Angeles County. Sheriff’s spokesman Bob Stoneman said the location was two miles south of California 138 on Pine Canyon Road, not far from the mountain community of Sandberg. Sheriff’s homicide detectives were in charge of the investigation.
