IBM’s Profit Up 20% for 1984

ARMONK, N.Y. — International Business Machines Corp., the world’s biggest computer company, said today that its profit rose 16.6% in the final three months of 1984 and increased 20% for the full year. The company credited continued high demand worldwide for its products and services and substantial gains in productivity.
