UCI Women Defeat USD in Swimming

The UC Irvine women’s swim team defeated the University of San Diego, 77-43, in a nonconference meet Friday in San Diego.
Debbie Vaughn paced the Anteaters with wins in the 100 and 200 breaststroke and in the 200-medley relay. UCI’s double winners were Michele Gibbs in the 1- and 3-meter diving, Lee McKinney in the 1,000 freestyle and 200 backstroke and Melanie Reed in the 50 freestyle and medley relay.
