Marjorie Post Estate Will Be Sold, Divided

PALM BEACH, Fla. — The 118-room mansion of the late cereal heiress Marjorie Merriweather Post----complete with three bomb shelters and 27 servants’ rooms---- and the land around it will be sold, officials said Wednesday.
The Palm Beach Town Council gave final approval Tuesday night to plans by Houston developer Cerf Standford Ross to divide Mar-a-Lago, one of America’s most expensive estates, into residential parcels. The mansion itself will be sold.
