La Habra : City Council to Weigh Dish-Antenna Control
- Share via
In response to some neighbors’ complaints that large television dish antennas’ generators are noisy, council members Tuesday will consider an emergency ordinance to require council approval of each new satellite dish installed, said Carlos Jaramillo, the city’s associate planner.
Eventually, the council will consider a permanent ordinance to regulate the dishes, which facilitate reception of programs from all over the world. Jaramillo said he did not know how many of the antennas already are in place in La Habra.
Council members also are scheduled to select a new mayor to replace John Holmberg and a new mayor pro tem to replace William D. Mahoney, City Clerk Katherine Adams said. The public meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the council chambers, 201 E. La Habra Blvd.
