ASU’s Brown Hits 3 Homers as USC Loses

TEMPE, Ariz. — Senior left fielder Todd Brown hit three home runs and two doubles in leading Arizona State to a 14-10 win over USC in Pacific 10 Conference baseball Sunday.
Alby Silvera hit a solo homer for USC to lead off the game, and the Trojans’ Rodney Peete had a two-run homer in the seventh. Reliever Royal Clayton (2-2) got the win, Steve Bast (3-1) the loss.
The win gave Arizona State a sweep of the three-game series and improved the Sun Devils’ overall record to 25-27 and their conference mark to 10-8. USC is 18-30 and 4-14.
In Sunday’s game, ASU’s Louie Medina had two homers, two singles, three RBIs and scored five runs.
