NEW YORK — Stock prices moved ahead today on the heels of a late rally by the market’s blue chips.
The Dow Jones average of 30 industrials closed up 12.15 at 1,278.71.
New York Stock Exchange volume was about 108.92 million shares compared with 79.93 million shares Monday.
