Golden West Beats Westmont in Volleyball

The Golden West College men’s volleyball team defeated Westmont, 15-7, 15-8, 15-6, Tuesday in South Coast Conference play at Santa Barbara.
The Rustlers were led by two freshmen outside hitters who graduated from Estancia High--Dave Ross (14 kills and 6 blocks) and Tim McLauhglin (10 kills and 6 blocks).
Westmont’s record fell to 6-7 in conference play, while Golden West improved to 9-4 and 11-4 overall. The Rustlers are at Santa Barbara on Friday at 4 p.m.
