Power Loss Hits 70,000

About 70,000 Department of Water and Power customers in the North Hollywood and Sunland-Tujunga areas were without power Friday night due to a problem in an electrical receiving station.
Los Angeles police said the DWP told them the cause of the problem was being investigated and they could not say when full service would be restored.
However, Foothill and North Hollywood Division officers said some areas were reporting that power had returned.
