Museum of Tolerance

With regard to Sen. David Roberti’s (D-Los Angeles) bill to provide $5 million of the taxpayers’ money for a Museum of Tolerance, I wish to express my outrage at the idea. It is an obvious self-serving political ploy with a callous disregard of the public’s concern about the legitimacy of expenditures of public money.
Let those with the personal commitment and financial resources contribute to such projects. Don’t insult the overburdened taxpayer by using his money without his permission. There are many other programs that are more needful, more deserving and more appropriate for the use of the taxpayers’ support.
If Roberti and his cohorts get his bill passed, I hope the governor is sensible (and sensitive) enough to veto it.
