NEW BUILDING FOR DIRECTORS GUILD
The national membership of the Directors Guild of America has approved plans to construct a new $13-million, 70,000 square-foot headquarters to adjoin the guild’s existing theater building, at 7950 Sunset Blvd.
About 30,000 square feet of the new building, which will house national and local DGA offices, will be leased to other tenants, said DGA president Gilbert Cates. Plans call for a six-story structure, which will include a three-level parking facility.
Membership approved the new structure, 2,603 to 953, on a mail ballot.
