HONOLULU — Bob Walk, who pitched for Hart High and College of the Canyons, won his ninth game in 10 decisions as the Hawaii Islanders won a 3-1 Pacific Coast League victory over the Edmonton Trappers here Tuesday night. The win gave the Pirate farm club a 34-13 record and an eight-game lead over Albuquerque in the Southern Division.
Walk gave up only three hits in going the distance. The right-hander, who lowered his earned-run average to 1.59, struck out five and walked one.
