Gala Proceeds Given to Multiple Sclerosis Fund

A donation of $25,000 for the Multiple Sclerosis Rancho Palo Verde “Sundown at the Ranch” gala has been presented to Steve Garvey by Gibraltar Community Builders, host of the Alpine, Calif. event.
Garvey, first baseman of the San Diego Padres, accepted the check in his capacity as national campaign chairman for the Multiple Sclerosis Society. Joining him at the June 2 acceptance ceremony was Gary Powers, executive director of the San Diego area chapter of the society.
The event, open to the public, was held Saturday at Rancho Palo Verde, a development of the home-building subsidiary of Gibraltar Savings.
