Cuban Volleyball Team Earns Five-Set Victory

TOKYO — The Cuban women’s team beat Japan’s national team, 15-7, 15-10, 11-15, 4-15, 15-12, Sunday for its third straight victory and won the International NHK Cup women’s volleyball tournament.

South Korea defeated Japan’s Universiade team, 15-6, 15-1, 15-5, and finished second with two victories against one loss. Japan’s national team finished third with one victory and two losses, and the Universiade team was winless in three games.
