B of A may reduce its world banking unit’s staff.

The nation’s largest bank said a significant “reconfiguration” of the world banking division would be announced next week. The unit, which includes most of Bank of America’s operations outside of California, could see sizable staff reductions, bank officials said. The bank previously reported that it does not expect to report any profit in the second quarter and is looking for ways to reduce personnel and administrative costs.
