Psetzing Wins Speedway’s Main Event

Robert Psetzing of Santa Ana won the Coors Western Night Main Event in front of a capacity crowd of more than 8,000 Friday night at the Orange County Fairgrounds Speedway track.

Brad Oxley of San Clemente was second in the four-lap race, and Mike Curoso of Fountain Valley, who won this event in 1975, finished third.

Alan Christian of Huntington Beach passed Jim Lawson of Riverside on the third lap to win the five-lap handicap main. Lawson finished second and Psetzing third in that race.
