COOKE TO RECEIVE AWARD AT EMMYS

Alistair Cooke, the Emmy Award--winning host of public television’s “Masterpiece Theatre,” has been selected to receive the Governor’s Award of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
The honor will be presented to Cooke on Sept. 22 at the annual Emmy Awards ceremony at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium.
