VADUZ, Liechtenstein — The tiny principality of Liechtenstein and the Vatican announced Wednesday that they will establish formal diplomatic relations. Pope John Paul II is to pay a one-day visit to the ministate, situated between Switzerland and Austria, on Sept. 8.
