LONDON — Four sky divers jumped to safety minutes before their small plane crashed in a wooded area Sunday, killing their instructor and the pilot.
One of the parachutists, an 18-year-old woman, was hospitalized for neck injuries.
Authorities said the single-engine Cessna 206 plane was carrying members of a parachute club when it began losing altitude at 11,000 feet. The instructor ordered the four club members to jump, but he stayed aboard the plane with the pilot.
Both were killed when the plane crashed near Brere Regis, about 100 miles southwest of London.
