Trafecanty Is Tandon’s Chief Financial Officer

Tandon Corp. has appointed Denis J. Trafecanty chief financial officer, replacing W. Clarice Gerkey. Trafecanty, 44, joined Tandon, a Chatsworth-based manufacturer of floppy disk drives, in January as treasurer and vice president. Gerkey, 42, who also was vice president of finance, joined Tandon’s management team as controller in 1976, its first year of operation. She retired for personal reasons and plans to serve as a consultant to the company, the company said.
