Anti-Apartheid Contests Planned

More than 30 members of a group called Artists Against Apartheid met Saturday to discuss a plan for essay and music contests in area schools as a way to educate students on racial issues in South Africa.
The group of artists, actors, musicians, singers and technicians who work in film and theater plans to sponsor the contests in schools in Los Angeles, Santa Monica and other surrounding communities.
