FILM CRITICS PICK KEVIN THOMAS

The Times’ Kevin Thomas has been elected president of the Los Angeles Film Critics Assn. Douglas Edwards of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and Dean Sander of KLAC radio were reelected secretary and treasurer, respectively.
The organization also voted to hold the balloting for its annual film awards, including its career achievement and newcomer honors, on Dec 14.
