Soccer Roundup : Moi Garcia Scores Both Goals as Chapman Beats Dominguez Hills

The Chapman College men’s soccer team defeated Cal State Dominguez Hills, 2-0, in a California Collegiate Athletic Assn. match at Orange Saturday.
Moi Garcia scored both of Chapman’s goals, moving the Canyon High School graduate to fifth place on the Panthers’ all-time points list with a total of 41. Chapman goalie Ken Taylor recorded his third shutout, and it was also the team’s sixth consecutive shutout at home over the past two years.
Chapman (5-1 and 8-6) plays at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo Wednesday.
In women’s soccer:
Westmont 2, Chapman College 0--Westmont scored twice in the last five minutes of play to defeat the Panthers in a nonconference match at Westmont.
Chapman goalie Teri Schaub recorded 15 saves, but the Panthers record nonetheless fell to 4-8-1. Chapman College is at Cal State Dominguez Hills Monday for a nonconference match.
