The area around the Balboa Park Organ Pavilion will be given a face lift, the San Diego City Council decided Monday.
Council members voted to spend $650,265 for the project, which will ultimately cost $911,367. New construction would include irrigation, asphalt and landscape work in a 100-by-200-foot area in front of the decades-old pavilion.
The repair work is needed because the area is “not in good shape anymore” because of its age, said Asst. City Manager John Lockwood.
