Trio-Tech’s 1st-Quarter Profits, Revenue Decline
- Share via
Trio-Tech International, a Burbank-based designer and manufacturer of environmental testing equipment, reported sharply lower profits and reduced revenue for its first quarter ended Sept. 27.
Net income for the quarter was $81,000, or 3 cents a share, down 88% from a year earlier. Sales for the quarter were $4 million, down 13% from last year’s first quarter.
The company attributed the decline in profits to the expense of opening semiconductor testing facilities in Phoenix and Dublin, Ireland.
