Review of New Restaurant

I have always counted the Calendar section of The Times as a dependable source of honest and intelligent review of our Orange County restaurants. But I now question your sense of judgment. Your choice of Charles Perry for that position puzzles me.
It is intensely obvious that he is ill-suited for this level of composition. After gagging through his review of Remick’s of Irvine, “A Dining Nightmare Becomes a Reality” (Oct. 25), it is evident that his talent and efforts are more suitable for the preschool periodical “Hi-de-Ho.”
It’s a shame that the beautiful, fresh and promising Remick’s had to bear the brunt of Perry’s sick attempt at sensationalism--to come up with a horror story for the Halloween season.
My fifth-grade daughter studying creative writing could do more justice to your column space. No need to be concerned, Remick’s. The only group who would pay heed to such a juvenile essay is not yet literate.
