A Bass group raised its stake in Taft to 11%.

In a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, a group led by Texas financier Robert M. Bass said it holds 992,725 of Taft Broadcasting’s 9.03 million common shares outstanding, including 171,800 shares purchased from Sept. 13 through Nov. 6 at prices ranging from $75.875 to $81.875 per share. Before the latest purchases, the Bass group owned 9.1% of Taft’s stock. The Bass group previously has said that it bought Taft Broadcasting stock as an investment and did not indicate plans for a takeover.
