Robert A.K. Runcie, the Archbishop of Canterbury and leader of nearly 70 million Anglicans around the world, said he is trying to arrange a “religious summit” for peace comparable to a political summit. “We are trying to soften up opinion about it, and we are trying to think about a place (to meet),” he said in a London interview. He did not not detail the nature of such a gathering or what faiths might be represented.
