La Jolla Girls Top San Diego 2-A Tennis Pairings

SAN DIEGO — La Jolla High School, winner of seven of the last eight San Diego Section girls’ tennis championships, is seeded No. 1 in the 2-A Division as the playoffs begin today.
In the past, section playoffs have been held with all teams in one division, regardless of school size. Section officials decided to hold playoffs in the 2-A and 3-A starting this fall.
La Jolla, City Western League champion this fall, beat Poway to win last year’s combined title.
The 2-A playoffs start today; 3-A playoffs begin tomorrow.
