Wendy Wetzel has been named director of corporate affairs for Mission Viejo Company’s California division. She replaces Steve LaMar, who is now a specialist in government relations and legislative issues for the Irvine Company. Wetzel joined the company in 1983 as senior administrator for communications and was promoted to manager of corporate communications a year later. Before she joined the Mission Viejo Company, she was an anchor and reporter for six years for KOCE-TV news and public affairs programs. The Mission Viejo Company is a planned community developer with projects in south Orange County and Colorado.
