Delta Opens New Terminal

Delta Air Lines has opened its new $1.3-million passenger terminal at Ontario International Airport, reporting that it expects to handle more than 225,000 passengers there this year.
The new facility is on the site of the airport’s former commuter terminal and, Delta said, is equipped with that airfield’s first covered passenger bridge from the terminal building to the jet aircraft. Swinerton & Walberg was the general contractor.
Delta, which inaugurated service in Ontario on May 1, 1984, now offers nonstop service to Atlanta, Dallas/Fort Worth and San Diego and one-stop flights to more than 100 destinations worldwide.
