Roger W. Johnson, chairman of the board, president and chief executive officer of Western Digital Corp., has been elected to the board of directors of the Irvine-based Triconex Corp. Prior to joining Western Digital in 1982 as president and CEO, Johnson, 51, was president of the Office Systems Group of Burroughs Corp. in Connecticut and executive vice president and chief operating officer of Measurex Corp. in Cupertino.
Triconex, a privately held California corporation, was formed in 1983 to develop fault tolerant control systems to insure against system failure in automated manufacturing and process plants.
