Secretary of State George Shultz has been named a professor in the Stanford University Business School. Shultz, 64, was a part-time professor at Stanford before he joined the Reagan Administration in 1982. The university said he will be the first Jack Steele Parker Professor. The chair was established with a gift from Parker, a director emeritus of General Electric Co. It is intended for a faculty member who specializes in international economics. Shultz is expected to return to Stanford, where he maintains a home on campus, after retiring from government service. A spokesman for the business school said, however, that the secretary does not plan to interrupt his Washington service in the immediate future.
