FOR ROCKY
Did Sheila Benson write her review of “Rocky IV” (“Throw in the Towel on ‘Rocky IV,’ ” Nov. 27) for herself, for other critics or for the general public?
If the Rocky movies are so bad, why do people keep seeing them? I have never seen a movie audience get more involved than they do with these movies. People cheer, yell, clap, cry and leave as though they had won the fight themselves. They may not be overly creative, but I’ve never been so moved by any other movie than by these four from Sylvester Stallone. Thank goodness I ignored Benson’s advice and went and saw the most enjoyable movie this year.
