Angola Reshuffles Cabinet Positions

LUANDA, Angola — Marxist President Jose Eduardo dos Santos fired three members of his Cabinet on Monday and named three new ministers with expanded duties, political officials said.
Dismissed were Provincial Coordination Minister Evaristo Domingos, Justice Minister Diogenes Boavida and Labor and Social Security Minister Horacio Pereira Braz da Silva.
The minister for oil and energy, Pedro de Castro Van-Dunem, was appointed minister of state. He will coordinate all energy, industrial and agriculture production.
Kundi Payama, the Benguela provincial commissar, will direct inspection and state control. Maria Mambo Cafeh, a candidate member of the Politburo of the Movement for the Liberation of Angola, will be in charge of planning, finance, labor and social security.
