A third suspect has been arrested in an attack on a 21-year-old UCLA receptionist. Diane Garland, 30, was arrested at her Compton home and booked on suspicion of attempted murder and robbery, university spokeswoman Darlene Skeels said. Garland was jailed in lieu of $500,000 bail. Skeels said Garland is the girlfriend of Mario Washington, 25, who was arrested earlier by police. Another suspect, William Pennix, 25, a campus employee, also is in custody. Both are being held without bail. The crime occurred Dec. 27 during a robbery at the UCLA Guest House.
