MAN OF LISTS
Hilburn’s fondness for musical lists seems to produce a never-ending string of articles putting every imaginable aspect of the rock music world into a neatly ordered sequence of best to worst from 10 to 1.
Does anyone care what the exact order of his favorite albums, compact discs or sound tracks are at a given moment? He should spend more time analyzing and less time making lists.
One list I would like to see, however, if print space and available timber resources permit, is a list of all the lists Hilburn has produced in the last 10 years. Maybe then he would realize how much time he has wasted.
