San Juan Capistrano : Lions Club Rodeo Slated at New 36-Acre Location
- Share via
The second annual Capistrano Valley Lions Club rodeo, a professionally sanctioned event that attracted overflow crowds last year, is scheduled for March 22 and 23 at a larger site than was available in 1985.
Jeff Bristow, chairman of the program, said a 36-acre site at the intersection of Junipero Serra Road and Camino Capistrano will accommodate “two or three times as many spectators” as did last year’s location.
The rodeo will begin at 3 p.m. March 22 after the city’s annual Swallow’s Day parade in downtown San Juan Capistrano.
Tickets costing $7 for adults and $3.50 for children under 12, will go on sale soon, he said, and proceeds will help support Lions Club services for the blind and speech- and hearing-impaired.
