Seat Belts Being Checked on 9,800 Yugo Cars in U.S.

DETROIT — Yugo America Inc. is recalling all 9,800 cars that it has sold in the United States for inspection and adjustment of seat-belt restraints.

The New Jersey-based auto maker said that the voluntary recall resulted from findings of internal inspections. There is no immediate risk involving the seat-belt restraints, the company said Friday.
