S.M. Conservancy Elects Chairman

Roger Gertmenian has been elected chairman of the Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy, a state agency that buys mountain land for public use, runs educational and recreational programs and offers transportation to increase access to the property.
Gertmenian, who was appointed to the conservancy board by Gov. George Deukmejian in 1984, has served as vice chairman for the past year. He is vice president of Pasadena Produce Company and spent 12 years as a trustee of Pasadena City College.
