TODTNAU, West Germany — Alexandra Marasova, the Czechoslovakian World Cup skier, defected in West Germany three weeks ago and has asked for political asylum, a West German ski federation official said today.
Helmut Weinbuch, sports director of the federation, said Marasova, 20, defected after an exhibition parallel slalom in Munich. He said she will race for a Munich ski club at the West German national Alpine championships this weekend in Todtnau. She plans to apply for emigration to Australia, he added.
