Sheriff’s homicide detectives are investigating a knife attack at an alien workers’ camp in Vista that left a Mexican man dead and another wounded.
A sheriff’s spokesman said that Sergio Garcia, 32, died at the scene from a stab wound in the back. Another Mexican, Jose Luis Gonzalez Gonzalez, was taken to Palomar Hospital for treatment of stab wounds. Investigators have no suspects in custody, but a knife and vehicle have been recovered.
The incident occurred at 11 p.m. Sunday near Sycamore Avenue and La Mirada Drive.
