Texas Sweeps Titans With 5-2 Victory

Texas completed a sweep of its three-game series with Cal State Fullerton Sunday, beating the Titans, 5-2, in a nonconference game at Disch-Faulk Field in Austin, Tex.
The series matched the third-ranked Longhorns (12-3) against the fourth-ranked Titans (9-6).
Chuck Oertli of Texas broke a 1-1 tie in the fifth inning with the first of his two home runs Sunday. His two-run homer gave Texas a 3-1 lead. John Eccles had homered in the second for Fullerton.
Keith Watkins had three hits for Fullerton, which outhit Texas 8-5.
Fullerton returns home Tuesday at 2:30 to play Loyola Marymount.
